All across the islands the familiar sound a a rooster crowing is very common. You hens and rooster pecking about.

During our tour at the botanical gardens, our tour guide said a hurricane blew through Hawaii destroying many many chicken coops thus freeing chickens to roam about and multiply and multiply and multiply as they have no natural predators.
